The gap in cybersecurity skills is one of the most challenging problems for leaders globally and it’s even more challenging for females. According to the latest numbers “women accounted for 10% of the cybersecurity workforce in the Asia-Pacific region, 9% in Africa, 8% in Latin America, 7% in Europe and 5% in the Middle East.” Looking at these numbers we wonder how many of these females are in leadership positions. What are the challenges that a female faces to get into a leadership position and what is the smart way to overcome these challenges to have more role models in of women leaders in cybersecurity, what are the key factors that a female needs to focus on in such a strategic level to continue  growing and inspiring young females in this filed with real world example of female leaders.
