This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for all participants of Women in CyberSecurity Middle East (WiCSME) virtual events. Event organizers will enforce this code and expect cooperation from all participants (e.g., speakers, attendees, media, sponsors, volunteers, partners) to help us promote a safe and enjoyable virtual experience for everyone.

Acceptable behaviours include but are not limited to:

  • demonstrating good manners by being considerate, respectful and courteous to those in attendance
  • being mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants
  • refraining from demeaning, discriminatory or harassing behaviour and speech
  • respecting the cultural diversity and refraining from making comments that may go against the regional culture of the Middle East

Unacceptable Virtual Event Behaviour

Unacceptable behaviours include but are not limited to:

  • intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory or demeaning conduct
  • wearing clothing not suitable for a professional work environment
  • offensive verbal or written comments (e.g. obscenities, threats or inappropriate comments about ethnicity, gender, religion, etc.)
  • use of culturally inappropriate/offensive images or nudity in presentation slides/material
  • intentional disruption of presentations or other events

All determinations are at the sole discretion of the event organizer and its representatives and will be considered final.
